Project Types & Royalty Information

Per Finished Hour

(PFH)

Per Finished Hour (PFH)

The Rights Holder (author) and Producer (narrator) agree on a flat fee for the entire project.  This does not include the preparation and post-production involved. Rights Holder then splits royalties with the distributor.

Royalty Share

(RS)

Royalty Share (RS)

This is a right down the middle split with the Rights Holder and Producer. There is usually an upfront fee, but not one following the PFH scheme. The distributor will receive their share, with the rest of the royalties split amongst the Rights Holder and Producer.

Royalty Share Plus

(RS+)

Royalty Share Plus (RS+)

A hybrid of PFH and RS. This usually consists of a smaller PFH rate to cover post-production only, while splitting the royalties amongst the distributor, Rights Holder, and Producer.

Tom’s Process

Initial Meeting

We begin with a discovery call to understand your project, expectations, and how my voice can best serve your story.

First Read

I do a preliminary read to establish tone, pace, and character, ensuring the vision aligns before full production begins.

Prep & Notes

Scripts are carefully reviewed, marked, and refined with client feedback to prepare for a clean, professional recording.

The first 15 Minutes

You’ll receive the first 15 minutes of narration as a sample to approve tone, delivery, and overall direction.

Recording

Once approved, I’ll record the full project with precision, consistency, and character, ready for mastering.

Delivery

The final, polished audio is delivered in your preferred format—on time and ready for publication or distribution.
